Pappas -b-q - Houston

Pros: The location is convenient on the feeder road, the atmosphere is enjoyable, the staff is friendly, and the restrooms are clean. Plus, the food is consistently warm! The wait times are reasonable as well. Cons: While the prices are decent, I believe the quality makes it well worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this Pappas BBQ location.

I really enjoyed it! It was my first experience with Texas BBQ, and it did not disappoint. I tried the brisket, yams (sweet potatoes), and coleslaw. I WILL be going back before I leave Houston! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. Also, all the sauces were fantastic. The original was my favorite, but I loved the variety of different sauce styles available.

This BBQ restaurant is quite good. While it's not the best barbecue I've ever had, it definitely exceeds average. However, the prices are quite steep. Paying $18.95 for a 1/2 pound of brisket seems excessive. I opted for a beef brisket sandwich basket with fries, which still set me back $17. I had to stick with water to keep my lunch under $20. The brisket itself was tender and flavorful. My wife ordered the half chicken plate, which came with two sides. She liked it, but it was priced at $14.95, and her iced tea added another $3.15 to the bill.

My bun had some marks on it. The overall taste was Salty ???? but edible. The chicken itself was premium quality but the bbq sauce was extremely salty. I should of tested it before dumping all over the sandwich. I still ate every last bite consideringit cost me almost 12 bucks. Menu seemed pricey but the food looks delicious on there. I only had the chicken sandwich. If youeat pork this place would prob be more to your taste. Might go back and try the BBQ beef ribs. Not sure.

I stopped on my way back to Georgetown from an astros game. A friend told me to get her burger. Burger? At a BBQ joint? Anyway, I have a Burger and Pommes to go. It was one of the best I ever had! The spiced pommes were terribly addicted, so I'm glad I don't live nearby! The burger was HUGE and delicious. The cashier who took my order was friendly and accommodating and the order was ready quickly. I definitely go back to Pappas when I'm back in Houston.
