Panera Bread - Houston

Yesterday, I placed a food delivery through an app, and I ordered a sandwich with a broccoli cheese soup. After the sandwich, I was full, so I put the soup into the fridge. Today, I reheated the broccoli cheese soup in the microwave, and I was about midway through the soup when I felt something unusually chewy. When I pulled it out of my mouth and looked at what it was, it was a piece of plastic. It is unfortunate that one of the team members at this location was careless or negligent as they were interacting with the soup to drop in a piece of plastic. While they offered free food to compensate, I just wouldn't recommend dining here. This serves as a reminder about the importance of cooking at home for health benefits, cost benefits, and of course the added reassurance that no random bits of plastic will not end up in the food.

This is my experience while trying out their subscription called My Panera+ in which they were offering unlimited sips of a limited selection of coffee as well as lemonades. My impression is this- Panera is usually not the place people go to get coffee/drinks. And hence they don't fill up or clean these machines often. Many times I went in, I saw that the cold coffee was not filled, milk jugs were not filled etc, but the staff was very helpful and they promptly filled up my cup when I asked. Also I used to order shelf pickup for my orders, but I rarely saw the cup placed on the shelf and had to wait in line for a staff member to provide me the cup. Is it worth the $8 per month? Not for me.. Maybe for some people. I'll just stick to occasionally taking out sandwiches which I think they do best.

Horrible customer service Had my to go order behind them the whole time I waited , asked for a refund , as I was walking out a worker stopped me and said the order I received a refund for, was ready the whole time. They take orders even though they're 100+ orders backed up and have customers waiting forever. Not sanitary either

Why is this location even open? The service is extremely slow. The breakfast sandwich was small, cold, and didn't have one of the three ingredients. There was no coffee. When they did finally re-fill the coffee (after 30 minutes), it tasted terrible.

I ordered from the Panera website 2 mix twos: 2 soups 2 salads. We received 2 soups 2 1/2 grilled cheeses. I called and they offered to give us our salads ok. Door dash delivered the salads and left them outside. I work at a school with and a parent brought the salads in I do not know how long they were outside. Upon opening one salad we found corrugated cardboard in it. I called to speak to a manager who really did not listen said he would cancel the order so I could get my money back I said ok and he hung up. Poor service poor quality of food.
