I was happy to see a Thai joint next to a Grayhound station so I jumped at the opportunity to grub. The fried rice was $10.45 and the Beef Shrimp was $6. Maybe it's me, but that made no sense. The Thai Iced Tea was $6 for a small commercial bottle so Inearly yelled at him to cancel. The taste was decent but the price was ridiculously high. Reason why I'm giving a 3 star is cuzthe cook passed me a bottled water, free of charge. I DO NOT recommend this place.
I decided to check this place out after seeing how excited everyone was when they left—none of them even paused to get into their cars before raving about the food. This was truly some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and I can't wait to try the entire menu. Don’t miss the dumplings!
Be cautious... I was served fried rice with crab and shrimp that tasted rancid. The odor was unmistakable, and the chef should have recognized the strong ammonia smell. It was disgusting.
I ordered the pad Thai with duck, which is a combination I haven’t tried before, but I was curious to give it a shot. The flavor of the pad Thai was excellent and nicely balanced. However, the duck didn’t seem very fresh, although it was still acceptable. Next time, I would probably choose a different protein. The portion sizes were medium, which I found to be reasonable. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but I’d likely make some changes on my next visit.
