Los Gallitos Mexican Cafe - Houston

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for over 15 years. We always order the same Parrillada with chicken, beef, and sausage, but unfortunately, it is no longer on the menu. Yesterday, we gathered outside with family and close friends to celebrate my son's half birthday, and everything went wonderfully. We all had a fantastic time and left feeling happily full. If you're planning an event or party, be sure to contact Julio. He prepared the table for us, and the food was served just 20 minutes after we were settled, just as we had arranged.

I ordered the chile relleno, and it had an unusual taste. There were 15 of us in total, and it took a long time for them to bring our bills. There was also quite a bit of confusion on the waitstaff's part. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 4.

Don't order shrimp because they DON'T CLEAN THEM! We found out by mistake. I guess if there is sauce or they are in an enchilada, they figure you won't see it. I don't know about you but we think not cleaning shrimp is very low class. This was a pick up order. I called back to request the usual sauces since they ALWAYS fail to include. I thought I would see if a reminder would work. It didn't! And last but not least the guacamole needs salt. Don't waste your money.
