Kiran's - Houston

Yesterday evening, my son and I went to the Levy Park for dinner after an evening (which is right behind the restaurant, for those who are not familiar with the area), this was our first visit to Kiran's and I felt terrible underwear as we were in Astros T's shorts and quickly noticed that this is not your average child-friendly restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere and fine food, but nevertheless we were politely welcomed, sitting, and then served by an excellent and knowledgeable waiter. He was so attentive and helped us select our meals.. so many delicious choices on the menu. This was the best Indian food I ate, amazing food and flavors, everything was so delicious! We had served Biryani, Chicken tikka masala w Saffron basmati rice pulao Veggies, Chicken Kebabs, Naan, and the mint lemonade (which was refreshing amazing)! Will definitely return and look forward to trying their afternoon tea offered on Saturdays.

Great food, great atmosphere and a friendly staff. Quite recommended to try some of the Indian Street options as an appetizer, the naan breads are a treat. A popular hunting during your visit to Houston.

If you've never tried Indian food, that's the place. If you love Indian food, but don't try Kirans, this is a must try. Either way, you win! Great food, presentation and waiting staff; and Kiran greets everyone like a regular.

The new look is very trendy. Several small but nuanced changes as well as the modern decor offer a completely different environment. Although not so traditional in appearance, the food is by far the best of its kind in Houston. Your menu has a bit more innovative selection(so fusion, but essentially the traditional fare is still the best part of the experience and what most of us come. Always excellent service. The piano in the bar is a beautiful note!

Afternoon tea on Saturday was perfect. Everything was delicious and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend afternoon tea at Kiran's.
