Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a highly meat-centric, upscale restaurant with a small vegetarian menu that can be adapted to vegans. the food was delicious, tasteful and tasted like authentic mexican instead of tex mex. the reason why I ordered it 3 stars instead of 4: 1) no vegan protein only carbs and sweet, which meant that eating not really filled me up, 2) no vegan milk replaces their vegan version of a vegetarian dish is simply leaving the queso and crema and 3) the waitress that seemed annoyed that I asked him to help me order vegans Overall, I would recommend this place if they are fed with a group of omnivores and have no vegan friendly option.
Hugos is really good, it is vegetarian and vegan patrons and eating is up and worth every penny. I have uploaded some photos here, but if you want to review the long, they go to my blog. carnivoresandvegans.com
I have taken my friend here for his birthday because there were both vegan and non-vegan options. the food was absolutely delicious. not complaining about eating. this place is excellent for special standsites.
I recommend this restaurant more for dinner, then lunch or brunch. there were no vegan items on the menu when I went to lunch on the other day - fortunately, the special of the day was a vegetarian product that was made vegan for me when I asked. the chef is very accommodating here and when they ask, they will usually whip up a bit good. I had a poblano filled with sweet potatoes, apples, walnuts and a baptism of other delicacies. the walnut cream sauce was vegetarian, but not vegan. they exchanged the sauce for me to make my vegan. this dish was quite crazy amazing and I hope they keep it on the menu forever and not just seasonal. overall, everything has a great taste at hugo’s. larger portion sizes for lunch, smaller portion sizes for the brunch menu. Kindly expensive, but every time I was 100% worth. Beautiful atmosphere too- great date night space for vegan not vegan.
I went to Hugo's for a special occasion, because it is known to be a little pricey. The ambience is perfect for a date night. Inside the large menu binder with pages and pages of wines and mezcals is also the vegetarian/vegan menu. There are 3 items labelled vegan and most of the vegetarian dishes could be altered to be dairy-free. I ordered the croquetes de papa entree. The platter centerpiece was a pan fried thick potato pancake seasoned to perfection atop a bed of garlic sautéed greens. The side was grilled squash, carrots and asparagus spears. The sauce was a dark red with a deep flavor and a little spice. It was absolutely delicious (and not that expensive, but also not that filling)
