General Joe's Chopstix - Houston

The staff is always very friendly, and the food is decently cheap. If you don't eat a lot, you can get two meals out of one order. Three stars, though, because the food is of fast-food quality. It's good, but other Chinese restaurants are better and more authentic.

The presentation is good, but the food is just tasteless. I ordered 4 entrees and they were all really bland.

The food was good. But they have VERY small portion sizes. I was finished eating after 5 bites, and I paid $13 and was still hungry after eating. The meal was good tho. They also gave me hard crab ragoons twice. I had to ask them to remake them. So disappointed that I gave this place a try.

My husband and I have been eating here for 10 years. It used to be the only Chinese food resturant we would eat at. The food and prices were great. Lately the food has not been good at all. It is defiantly different than it used to be. The prices are still good but the food, not so much. The past 5 visits have gotten worse and worse. I'm sad to say that we probably won't go back again.

This restaurant offers a delightful and unique interpretation of orange dishes. The cheese puffs are a bit on the small side, but they are beautifully fluffy and well-baked. The rice is cooked just right, and the egg roll is large and perfectly crispy. The wonton soup is packed with plenty of ingredients, rather than being mostly broth like at many other places. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
