Fuad's - Houston

Firstly, the service was practically non-existent. Then, we ordered a steak cooked medium, but it arrived overcooked to the point of being like a leather shoe. We refused to eat it, and the chef actually came to our table, reached over my wife, and started cutting into the steak as if he was sharing a sample with everyone in the restaurant. He then proceeded to argue with us and held his dirty hands up like a flashlight to inspect our food. After removing the steak, he claimed he would replace it and make things right, yet he returned with the same overcooked piece and continued to argue with us. He seemed very comfortable being confrontational. To make matters worse, the steak was cooked as though it had just been picked from the garden. When we finally asked for the check, my wife had to excuse herself to the ladies' room, where she was confronted by the chef on her way back. He was combative and insisted that we were the only ones who ever complained, pressing on with his defense of the poorly cooked steak. We ended up paying a $250 bill (before tip) and decided never to return. I left a mere 5% tip on the receipt, as the waiter who cleared our table didn’t deserve to be punished for the chef’s and manager's behavior. I cannot recommend this place. If you’re looking for overpriced food with terrible service, then go ahead; otherwise, I suggest you stay far away.

Incredible dining experience! This is our favorite restaurant in Houston, and we can't wait to come back for more!

Absolutely delicious! A fantastic dining experience every time! The restaurant is a bit dark, but the wonderful food, excellent service, and great music make it worth it. This place has never disappointed!

The open menu concept was a good surprise. Every dish was very tasty and flavorful. Very well prepared and presented. The host was charming and helpful with our food choices. We were quite an international group and everyone was complimentary. The piano player/singer added that special difference to the atmosphere. He even invited one of our guests to play. A totally enjoyable evening. We will be back.

Fuads HRW menu looked impressive online, but the execution was lackluster. I chose the lobster bisque, Caesar salad, lamb shank and bananas foster. There was very little seasoning, if any. I was so excited to try this restaurant, hoping to add a neighborhood gem to my list, but I will not return.
