Ekko's Greek American Deli - Houston

Well, I was craving some moussaka, so I came across Ekko's from Yelp. I ordered the moussaka and gyro sandwich. I ate the gyro one day and saved moussaka for the next day. What can I say about the gyro. Although not completely terrible, it really did not have much flavor. Even the tziki sauce was not flavorful...it did not have that refreshing cucumber taste. I have had many gyros over the years, but this was not to my liking. The moussaka was simply terrible it also had very little flavor. The bechamel layer had a weird texture...I will definitely not return. I should have known nothing too great could come from a restaurant in a gas station; but I decided to try due to positive reviews. I would next time go back to Anonymous Cafe for moussaka.

I’ve been a customer since 2016 and does not disappoint the customer service is amazing and the food quality is still the same. The burger w/cheese is good along with the gyro

OUTSTANDING FOOD AND VALUE! Excellent gyro sandwich, seasoned fries and drink (I got unsweetened ice tea) for lunch with two of my sons for $10 total each. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!Food: 5/5

This restaurant is located inside a gas station, with half of the space serving as a convenience store. However, the food, service, and prices were excellent. I can't wait to come back for another delicious gyro. As for vegetarian options, since it's a Greek restaurant, there are plenty to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the grape leaves – they were delicious!

Without a doubt, this is the absolute best gyros in all of Houston. I love coming here to get one, or sometimes even two! Food: 5/5
