Dogwood Houston

I enjoy coming to this restaurant with my friends on weekends. The atmosphere is always fantastic, and the crowd is full of people who love to dance and have a good time. The drinks are delicious, and you're sure to meet some new friends whether you're upstairs or downstairs. The music selection is varied and includes a range of genres.

This restaurant is blatantly racist. The bouncer allowed three girls wearing ugg boots and one guy wearing cowboy boots in ahead of me, but refused to let me in because he claimed my Timberland boots were "too urban". It is Halloween tonight and my costume includes wearing these boots. It seems that this bar has a specific rule disallowing Timbs because black men wear them in music videos. By patronizing this establishment, you are supporting racist policies in my opinion. Evil thrives when good people stay silent.

The owners of this bar, along with other bars in midtown, are making a mistake by enforcing a strict dress code that prohibits entry for those wearing Jordan sneakers. In Houston, it is common for people to wear Jordan sneakers, so it seems unnecessary for this to be such a big issue. This policy of denying customers based on their shoes is ridiculous. There are plenty of other places in midtown that are much better than these bars. Overall, midtown is not recommended.

My favorite place of my family and I went to the city. it was a bit slower and I could have a conversation without the music getting sick. in any case a funny little environment that doesn't go over. not shouldered to shoulders and not awfully loud. great look a nice staff.

Love dogwood. a lot of space in the are also in busy nights. the vibe is a typical midtown bar scene. many bathrooms on both floors. eating is also quite good during the day. bartenders are very nice.
