The yams, macaroni and cheese, brown rice with gravy, and smothered chicken were all well-seasoned and flavorful. The cornbread was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! I was genuinely moved by how delicious the food was. They also provide generous portions! I can confidently say it’s one of the best soul food spots in Houston, without a doubt.

The turkey wings were very tender. Could have been a little more tasteful (for my pleasure) but overall GOOD. Clean throughout the building, great customer service and black owned!!!!

I finally heard after hearing about this place and over a few years. Chicken tails (meat only). They did not disappoint because they were fresh, very delicate, tasty and full of taste. Saturated to perfection and small two medium size that is my preference. Will definitely go back! Update: I returned today, about a week later and again the ox tails (only meat) were perfect! They're not fat and not fat. The oxen are savory and tasty Definitely my go to place.

It was a good experience. The atmosphere was very quiet. The staff was nice. The food was good. They give you plenty of food and prices are appropriate.
