Connie's Seafood Wayside - Houston

This is one of those places that has been here and has become a gem to the community. I remember being maybe 11 and eating coctel de camarón because it was my favorite. Now my palate has expanded and I love all their seafood but when I really want some coctel de camarón this is definitely the place I come to. I no longer live in Houston but I definitely drive 2hrs out of my way to eat their delicious food.

I ordered the #1 it come with ,rice ,fries, salad , lime, tarter sauce,shrimp. This time I got fish, shrimp and rice. That was all. No service WYF guys. Also ordered Steam oysters and got raw oysters. I told the waitress the problem she doesn't care about it. Waitress took my card for 20 minutes and then charged me my balance What the he'll lady. Also my beer Rita was all Melt it down before I got it. Management see me thru the window and didn't want to come out to talk to me about. I bet they probably won't respond to this as well. I was here 20 minutes ago.

Normally we get the shrimp rancheros, which is soooo delicious. We tried the fried whole tilapia today and it was amazing! Everything we've tried here is always great.

The food is good but I think they have mice or rats because my foam plate on a takeout I picked up has a large hole at the bottom and small holes on the sides. My rice kept fall out of these holes. That worries me on their sanitary procedures. Uuggghh! Never again from any Connie's Seafood place. No kidding people.

Fried food yes. But don 't go there for Mexican style ceviche or shrimp cocktail. . Shrimp tostada is like a cold shrimp pasta. No ceviche!!!!!! Never going back
