My friend and I recently visited this restaurant for Houston Restaurant Week lunch and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The escargot was a standout dish - incredibly buttery, herbaceous, and delicious. It had the perfect balance of flavors, reminiscent of oyster and marrow in my opinion. The chicken piccata that followed was expertly fried and the lemon caper sauce was exceptional. The creme brulee for dessert was rich, creamy, and perfectly caramelized on top. We really appreciated the restaurant's HRW lunch menu and highly recommend giving it a try!
My wife and I stopped by for lunch. She had the salmon and said it was delicious. I tried the French onion soup, which was not too salty and very tasty. I also had the boar. For dessert, we had the strawberry tart. Overall, it was a very enjoyable lunch and the service was excellent.
Absolutely explicit eating establishment. I was very much impressed with the ambience, the atmosphere, the music, our food, and especially the service. The three course meal with the wild boar was absolutely exceptional and our waiter was excellent. Agreat homey environment along with all the essentials of fine dining really make you forget about the busy city for a moment.Excellent restaurant!
This is could be a cozy neighborhood place. Food was okay and very old fashioned, but not fabulous. The interior needs a serious redo. Waiters did not engage with us very much, but they were friendly with the regulars at the next table.
