Contribuiți la feedbackAs with any establishment hospitality is the most important, even if the food isn't great a very good hospitality can overshadow sub par food. Overall the food wasn't bad, the peppersoup was great and the dodo was soft. The only take away is the quality ofservice, when people come in welcome them and seat them and take orders much quicker .
Nice authentic Nigerian food with a cool vibe to it. I enjoyed the Ram surf turf that was full of spice and flavor. I went for the food, but could see myself enjoying the lounge with friends. Definitely a great experience l.
#JoeFoodTour I absolutely love Houston's diverse food scene! Celebrated a dear friend's birthday with a fantastic lunch. We ordered classic Nigerian dishes, including pounded yam with spinach (efo), melon seed (egusi), Pomo, and a refreshing hibiscus/zobo drink. For an hour, it felt like I had traveled outside of Houston! The atmosphere was classy and lively—be sure to check out the Nextdoor Lounge. #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes
I tried this restaurant for the first time, and it was fantastic! I ordered the Mighty Platter, which I highly recommend because it includes all the meats. Just remember to add the rice, which is spicy and absolutely delicious! The only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars is the initial experience; it didn’t start off very strong. When I entered, no one greeted me or acknowledged whether I was dining in or getting takeout, so I ended up waiting for 10 minutes before I decided to seat myself. There was just one waitress on the floor, which explains why it took her a while to notice me. There was also a woman behind the bar handling takeout orders, but once again, the waitress was doing everything—taking orders, delivering food, cleaning tables, and managing takeout. I really wish her team had supported her more. However, the waitress was incredibly sweet, and I truly appreciate her amazing service!
I just wasted my money at another Nigerian restaurant in this country. What is the problem with these places that they can’t hire a professional chef from Nigeria? I can make a perfect okra soup myself. This was not okra soup; it looked like something hastily prepared in a jungle. I was not impressed at all. It didn’t taste good and lacked spice, especially with the smoked fish.
