Latest Opinion: Like when your daughter brings in a slice of cake from her first attempt at hometech at school, and you give a sarcastic well done. This was just like that, one word sums this place: plain. Plain but over priced. Earlier order: Just finished eating my order, Thursday 8th February 2018, homely cooked food that broke the McD drugery addicted appetite to keep ordering, feeling unfulfilled. My order consisted of: tea, cheese panini, a cheese and onion pasty, a slice of vanilla cake and a cup cake. Food Cost: £9.00 Uber del: £2.50. +Fresh real food, salad in panini, basic ingredients but nice feel good factor that dealt with hunger fully. +fairly and modestly priced slice and tea. +sugar on slice low, actually too low. +non greasy. tea arrived warm, cooled to room temp only half consumed, not too bothersome as only wanted to dunk bread from panini, as not keen on drugs/stimulants, but would have preffered hot in insulated cup. little salty pasty. cup cake could have been fresher. panini definately needed a few minutes for that classic panini crunch, if you put yogurt though I can see why one would take out early. Four stars, as great to finally find a place that gets basic rights. Broke the vicious cycle to another restaurant that whilst clean, and v.popular, was an addictive cafe, and my only go to place around an otherwise depressing town; this find ending the cycle, saved an early heart attack without I missing any French fries.. if that 's not enough reason to give this place a try, my uber order arrived in a Mercedes/saloon with driver kind enough to hand sugar to taste sachets to hand. KILLED Hunger and left i satisfied with a happy mood without hefty bill, hence the higher rating. Ordered again, 09/02/18, this time, just three vanilla cake slices and a kinder bueno milkshake, fab again, excellent quality and great way to control sugar intake with perfectly portioned, individually wrapped, slices. Sponge was: moist, airy, and just decidant with faultless presentation. Flavours were delicate but every bite immensely satisfying and filing and not too sweet. Less is definately more, just how desserts should be. Happy to find a place serving fresh treats at a reasonable slice price but quality of taste is lacking. Check pics. too generous, when the only cake I had been eating for months was a muffin, so initial impression was heightened by the freshness of slices, however the quality of flavour remains consistent: poor. (added: 19/02/18). 18/02/18 order: +very well packaged if ordering 3 slices or more as arrived boxed. Panini seasoning went missing this time, despite a better grill. Veg pastie was of food bank quality if not less, not even warm, lack of foil bag, but the pastie had been baked too well, heating it would simply dry it further so can see why given cold. Brownie and ice cream presented well, but something youtube tydus could assemble, no concern over sensation, flavour, no passion, just flat. Even the renowned slices, tasted of poor handling, with sponge picking up food smells. The slice actually was unappetizing lacking any flavour extremely bland, the lower sugar appeal factor now completely lost. Over all a two is a fairer reflection then the hyped up four I had awarded. Food too over priced for the basic quality. Just pretty slices, but pretty poor taste. 8/04/18 in fact catch Hounslow McD supplying a FRESH muffin (v. rare), and you won 't miss this place.
