King Kone Drive In - Hot Springs

To give a bit of background, I've worked in the food industry for over a decade and just transitioned to a new field three months ago. Regarding the lower-rated reviews: I hope everyone can appreciate that things can change, especially in food service. Like the stock market, it has its ups and downs. King Kone should not be compared to places like J&S Italian Villa, the Vault, Deluca’s, or Rocky’s. It’s a mom-and-pop establishment—with a small staff, probably no more than five people on duty at any given time. So if your food didn’t turn out as you had hoped or if there was an issue with your drinks or desserts, I’m sure the staff would be willing to address it or offer a refund if you brought it to their attention. I find it hard to believe that your entire meal was terrible if you left a review after finishing it. I’ve also heard that there are new owners now. I’m not sure how long they’ve been in charge, but perhaps they are still getting accustomed to food service. It could simply be a case of the cooks or servers having an off day. I work across the street, and every time I walk by or head to work, it’s usually busy, about 9 times out of 10. That’s just my two cents. Everyone and everything deserves a second chance, even a third!

The only reason this restaurant doesn't earn a five-star rating overall is its location. There are no bathroom facilities available, and the limited parking space can lead to significant delays in service. However, let me be clear: the wait is definitely worth it, so just make sure you have enough time. The food is outstanding!

I ordered a sundae and all I received was ice cream with chocolate sauce. That was quite disappointing. I might as well have just gotten a cone.

Very disappointed had TWO hairs in my hamburger couldn’t even eat it. Small portion of fries. Didn’t even have the drink I asked for and sure didn’t bother to say anything when I was ordering. Will only be back if I decide to go get ice cream. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

I was so excited to go here again after moving back to hot springs. The food and portions were good here for a long time. But don't bother anymore. They barely give you a tiny handful of fries for $4 and they have to be serving off brand sodas because there is no way that flat, overly syrupped, drink they gave me was Dr.pepper. truly a very disappointing experience. It feels more like I was robbed than if feels I bought lunch.
