Contribuiți la feedbackIt's been a long time since we visited such a nice, family friendly restaurant close to nature, as Hosszú Tányér in Hosszúhetény, hidden at the foot of Zengő. We didn't come here by chance: since the restaurant received a Michelin recommendation, we definitely wanted to try it. The owner, Hosszú Franciska, was created for catering, she operated a cafe, a pastry shop, organized children's parties, but she really feels in her element in the guest area. He enthusiastically talks about the road that led to the restaurant, introduces how each menu item is created, where they get the ingredients, and is so direct that you feel as if they are old acquaintances. The restaurant is run by three people, in addition to Franciska, chef Attila Horváth is responsible for the food, and Aunt Erzsi, who not only works under their supervision, but you can even taste her jam. Attila combines flavors in an imaginative and surprising way, some of which are hard to imagine working well together at first. Still, the cottage cheese kale mandarin mandarin fig apricot appetizer blew me away right from the start, and the kohlrabi soup with mango and Japanese green peach vinegar was also extra delicious. Special thanks for the deep fried zucchini flowers, it took me back to my childhood, I was a little sorry that I didn't get turnips, even though I tried really hard It is a little interesting that the chef dreams it up and his sister in law also prepares the beautiful, unique ceramic plates, which in their atmosphere perfectly match the dishes often composed with edible flowers. The ingredients are sourced from local producers, and most of the wines are aged for a long time, but we will definitely try their Georgian wines as well, while we can listen to the story of how they came here from Franciska. And the dessert was a worthy end to the menu, it's been a long time since I've eaten such a deep chocolate delicacy. We had a real slow food experience, but the slowness was not disturbing at all, in fact, it was good to really enjoy each dish and talk about it. We're still waiting for the next course, so let's use the time and go into the kitchen they welcome you there too, and we can see a little of the work processes.

I would like to start with a huge THANK YOU! Although you can only get into this beautiful place by making a reservation in advance, we came in after a very meaningful tour, not knowing the house rules, wearing clothes that didn't fit and a little tired. We wanted to have a drink. Despite our shortcomings, they made an exception for us, they served us very kindly and the refreshing lemonade was wonderful. Thank you very much!
