Taberna Porto Pim - Horta

One of the most beautiful location of Horta and really nice food. People who work here are really friendly but they don’t accept reservation. You can go there and enjoy a drink while waiting.

Small restaurant with only about 6 tables outside. Right on the harbour wall, lovely sunset location. Tables are first come first served. After 18:30 you may be out of luck. Good menu and ok wine list. Great place to relax away an evening.

Would have rated this restaurant good if that had been an option. What let the 3 course meal down was my terribly salty slow cooked beef stew. However in my opinion over salting food seems to be a typical Azorean trait; others might be ok with this. My husband's tuna was actually one of the best cooked he had in our 2 week holiday and the puddings were delicious as was my pea soup with melted cheese starter.

I’ve repeated 3 times this restaurant. The food is very good (the best tuna and octopus rice). The service is excellent and they help you chose the correct wine. I will definitely come back.
