Contribuiți la feedbackThe restaurant has a strong, unpleasant smell that brings to mind vomit and dirty cheese. The walls are painted in unattractive colors reminiscent of urine, and the artwork depicting Mexican stereotypes adds to the gloomy atmosphere. The kitchen often closes early due to a lack of staff, leading to a noticeable decrease in the quality of food following the pandemic. The food now resembles something you might find at a gas station, which is disappointing given the prices. The service is handled by staff who appear visibly frustrated and disheartened, despite being friendly to customers. Overall, dining at this restaurant is quite depressing.
The Moppo Wings are absolutely amazing and unbeatable. The regular wings are overpriced at $15.50, and I've had bigger pheasant wings before. I felt sorry for the server having to serve them on the table. The Bayou Butter sauce seemed like an afterthought. I wanted to try something new since everything else is so good, but I learned my lesson. The restaurant should really step up their game or not offer it at all.
A nice, neighborhood bar and grill serving good wings and decent drinks. Service is good and friendly, nothing fancy about this place but it was fairly busy for a Friday night and best of all, they have 2 for 1 drinks from 7 9 pm every day. Their happy hour menu also looked like a pretty good deal, so I might have to venture back to Minnetonka to check it out some time. I was kind of craving a burger but you notice there two of the nightly specials they have are for chicken wings so I ordered the Moppo Wings, which seems to be a specialty. If you like dry rub, these are pretty good the flavor kind of reminds me of Monte Carlos Beijing style dry rub. At Lone Spur, you get 6 entire wings the drummy, wing, and the tip so basically that's 12+ wings and they are good size so I was only able to eat half and took the rest home. No dipping sauce or rabbit food (carrots or celery with the Moppo Wings but that was fine with me since I complemented my dinner with a couple drinks. Overall, a good experience, my only complaint is the local patrons smoke (outside but the smell definitely filters into the bar area, or at least the people behind me smelled like a pack of Marlboro Reds. One more thing, the prices listed on the online menu (not the ordering menu are mis priced, just like they are on the Yelp page prices everywhere have gone up (thanks inflation! so the wings were about $3 more than I expected but that's par for the course these days. Again, the bartenders and service was great and Lone Spur is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out the menu looks interesting and good I saw a couple eating some Mexican food, maybe next time!
Came for the prime rib, my wife loved it, she likes her medium cook. For me I like more medium well, I got a rare prime rib. Asked to cook some more, it was brought back in 2 min, seemed they didn't touch it. If I pay $25 a plate, I would at least attempt to cook it to my satisfaction (see pic). I understand staff is short in these times. Yet, if someone ask for a request please accommodate them, time was not an issue for me. Will I come back, at this time no and would not recommend this place at all.
Food was fantastic. Our server Anitza was wonderful even though she was insanely busy she took such great care of us.
