Dirty Skillet - Hope

Easily 5 stars! We have fantastic dinner: crab cakes were the best I’ve ever tried in Alaska! We both had Cattle Bottom steak was cooked to perfection! Our hostess, Belen, was very polite and attentive, yet not in our faces a perfect ninja! We highly recommend this cozy place!

A welcome treat in the town of Hope--a casual, warm and welcoming place. We had the crab cakes and ball 'n chain burgers--all delicious. And the mud pie! Great selection of beers and wines--reasonable prices. The setting was fun and entertaining. Staff was attentive and friendly. We will go back!

This is how Alaska used to be. Quiet, eclectic, friendly, and not crawling with obnoxious, self-entitled tourists who want to experience Alaska without getting dirty or having to deal with mosquitoes or scuffing up their brand new hiking boots. Excellent food. Excellent service. Beautiful setting. To me and my family, it was paradise and we didn’t want to leave. Please stay away.

Yummy and cute. Ordered the Caesar and Ball and Chain Burger and the corn cheese dip. So good. Great service. Topped it off with their unique ice cream. Strange but tasty. Service was great too. We came late in the season but it would be an even better sunny day venue with open air and fire pits. I’ll def come back in the summer!

Although inside seating is very limited 1 8 top table), outside had 4 large 8 tops with a propane fire pit in the middle. Plus several 3 tops and bar seats. Staff were all friendly. Good beer selection and wines . Burgers both beef, chicken salmon were on the menu. Salads, soup, pasta and more. I had the side salad with 2 crab cakes. The crab cakes had lots of chunks of crab were so tasty. One of us had the crab cakes and a cup of their Lentil soup. She really enjoyed the Lentil soup and the crab cakes. Another friend had a salmon Caesar salad, so delicious. My husband asked about lower sodium options. The chef was able to serve him unsalted fries and burger but still retain some flavor. Ahh but the piece de resistance was dessert. My husband I shared the rhubarb crumble with their homemade cinnamon vanilla ice cream. The crumble had nice chunks of rhubarb and was the perfect sweetness. Our friends shared the apple crisp with homemade cinnamon vanilla ice cream. They seclared it was perfect. Great meal along with friendly service. Thank you
