Thai Issan Cuisine - Honolulu

5 stars for the food and 2 stars for the to go service. We ordered 2 pad Thai, one yellow curry beef, and one dung yung soup on the phone. It was about 5 PM on July 17. The lady sounded impatient. When we got the food, the lady didn’t want to provide extra containers (we were to eat in our hotel room) and gave us only 3 spoons (there’s four of us for four dishes). My wife had to ask twice for a break down receipt. They seemed annoyed by us (we are really nice people, no kidding). On another note, the food was AMAZING!!! My daughters joked that the workers can afford to have an attitude because their food is so great.

Hello, we are tourists from Houston, Texas. We were disappointed that Foodland ran out of poke and it was getting late, with restaurants starting to close at 8:45pm. We spotted a Thai restaurant that was only offering takeout and decided to give it a try since we were hungry. We ordered the pumpkin curry and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. It had a wonderful flavor that wasn't like the typical pumpkin spice taste I had expected. We also tried the fried fish, which was a hit with our children - they ate it all up, which was a shock since they can be picky eaters. They even asked us to take them back the next day. The basil beef and eggplant stir-fried tofu were also delicious. The prices were very reasonable compared to other places on Oahu. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family who live here.

My fiance and I absolutely loved this place. This is our first time visiting Honolulu and we were looking for a place to get some dinner on our first night that was close to our hotel. We are so glad we picked this place. We haven't even been here for 4 days yet and have already been back twice. The curry is amazing and the Pad Thai was also great. The best part is the service. Very friendly staff an attentiven. Definitely recommend.

I had a really good overall experience at this small Thai restaurant, which is family-run. The food was delicious, with the Thai fried rice being my favorite dish. The flavors were just right. I also tried the drunken noodles and pineapple curry. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but the pineapple curry was just okay. My friend enjoyed it, but personally, I'm not a fan of pineapple in curry. The portions were reasonable for the price, and the service was good, though nothing exceptional. I will definitely be returning if I'm in the area and craving Thai food.
