Contribuiți la feedbackI love this so so so so much. I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want the secret to get out. This is a very mom and pop fresh fish market in a large space near the airport. It's very unassuming and not fancy with bright lights or anything. The place is very clean, there are seats that are clean and there's a clean bathroom. Everyone that works here is also super nice. The older gentleman worker at the fish market is super nice. I recommend getting here super early because things sell out super fast. It took me 3 tries before I was finally able to get some tuna and chirashi. I still have yet to try the fresh crab. Everything here is super fish and delicious. If you are a fish lover, definitely come here and try it for yourself. Remember, this is nothing fancy so don't come here with that mindset. It's your local mom and pop with wallet friendly sushi. Can't wait to come back! Thanks for being amazing as always!
Tucked away in 99 ranch market is Take's Fish Market. Mr. Take is very humble and proud of what he does. The sashimi is high quality and the color is amazing. Have you ever stared at the sunset and admired its beauty? I stare at the Chirashi bowl, admire its beauty, then order one. The Chirashi bowl has rice on the bottom and assorted cuts of sashimi, a shrimp, and wasabi on top. It's an amazing deal for $10.99. If you don't see any in the display, wait your turn then ask Uncle if he get any more. He might have some in the cooler or make it for you! : Support your local mom and pop shops!
We found this hidden gem through Yelpers and we couldn't be happier! The chirashi domburi, featuring FRESH raw sashimi, is a favorite of ours. I especially appreciate that it doesn't have rubbery octopus or squid. The white rice is lightly sweet and cooked to perfection. The prices are unbeatable as well. I've tried chirashi bowls at other Japanese restaurants, but Take's truly does it best! We usually grab two bowls and enjoy them once a week!
As I waited in line, I peered into the chilled display case and spotted various platters of sashimi alongside photos of that beautiful Kaisen Chirashi. I was a bit unsure whether I needed to wait for fresh batches to be made or just order from what was on display—please don’t judge me! It was my first time there, and I usually don’t venture out of town. LOL. The guy in front of me ordered five or six chirashi bowls! I thought, "Wow, they must be really good if he’s getting that many for his colleagues." At the same time, I was nervously hoping he wouldn’t buy them all up because I definitely wanted to try one XD. I observed the sweet little Japanese grandpa carefully packaging the guy's order, stacking the bowls with care and sealing them tightly with tape. I really admire the Japanese culture's emphasis on presentation and respect for how they wrap and bag food. I totally miss this kind of treatment when getting takeout elsewhere, where things often end up haphazardly tossed into a bag, sauce spilling everywhere. It warmed my heart to see the attention to detail in how they handled the food and transactions. When it was my turn, I decided to order two chirashi bowls, because who can resist such a beautiful creation? The little Japanese grandpa asked if I could wait a moment for my order to be freshly made, and of course, I happily agreed! I was so excited to sample the chirashi bowl. He went behind the clear curtains to prepare the orders while another customer behind me placed an order for a chirashi bowl, too. I think the little Japanese grandma was the one making them. As I waited, I noticed various frozen items for sale in a side fridge, including scallops (I think from Japan), breaded fish, croquettes, marinated mackerel, fishcake, and organic natto. There was also a fridge with drinks like sashimi soy sauce, cola, Itoen green tea, and bottled water. Soon enough, the little Japanese grandpa reappeared from behind the curtain holding my chirashi bowl. He carefully packaged my order into a paper bag, placing a piece of hard paper between the two bowls to prevent them from crushing each other. SO THOUGHTFUL! I paid and excitedly headed home to enjoy my meal. Once at home, I was super impressed! The rice was cooked to perfection, each grain sparkling with flavor. The toppings were a colorful assortment: ahi, hamachi, tartare ahi, imitation crab, shrimp, tamagoyaki (rolled egg), seaweed salad, cucumber, gari (pickled ginger), and wasabi. They even included a small bag with napkins, chopsticks, and soy sauce in plastic containers—just perfect! And the best part? The amazing price! It was only about $10 and some change, not the usual $30 you might expect. Please do yourself a favor and try this chirashi bowl out!
The only downside was the portion size. It looked sufficient, but I still felt a bit hungry afterward, and I'm not usually a big eater. Maybe I was just extra hungry when I visited. Overall, it’s an affordable spot with great-quality fish for a quick meal. They also offer sashimi and other fish options, I believe. P.S. If they run out of bowls, you can ask them to prepare one for you if they still have fish available!
