Sushi Sasabune Hawaii - Honolulu

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Sasabune and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, providing impeccable service throughout the evening. The highlight, of course, was the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef's creativity and attention to detail were evident in every bite. Each course surpassed our expectations. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients was apparent, making each dish a delight. Overall, Sasabune offers an outstanding dining experience that is sure to impress. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, this restaurant is a must-visit! Highly recommended!

GOOD LORD, that was the best sushi i have ever had. Every dish just melts in your mouth. Lovely staff, and a great experience. Be prepared for a big bill, but honestly worth every cent.

Always an excellent meal… always stop by when in Honolulu…come hungry and stuffed on the way out.

This is, as far as we are concerned, the best omakase menu in the US. We go here every time we return to HNL (over 17 years). Yes, it’s pricey but it is so worth it. The quality of the fish is exceptional!

Staff was rude and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. It seemed like they didn’t want to be there which made us not want to be there. Our worst omakase experience and near the top of worst dining experiences in general. We decided we couldn’t take the negative atmosphere any longer and stopped after 11 courses. The food tasted good but is very overpriced $150 a person for the 11 courses) compared to other omakase options on Oahu. Sushi Sasabune may have a long history, but I recommend looking elsewhere unless the staff starts treating people decently and ideally prices are reduced to be in line with other omakase on Oahu.
