Pai's Deli - Honolulu

I'm thrilled that Pai's Deli is still in business! It was one of my favorite spots three years ago and continues to be a top choice for me. The sandwiches are incredibly delicious and affordable, so I ended up eating here every other day during my trip.

The staff was very friendly, and there were excellent menu choices. I ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich, and they were very accommodating, serving it without mayo and with mustard on the side. Everything was incredibly fresh. I really enjoyed the combination of vegetables in the sandwich. The location is somewhat hidden, but if you walk to the back of the hotel entrance, you'll find it to the right of Dave’s.

We had a fantastic light lunch at Pai Deli! After a week of heavy lunches filled with rice and potatoes, we were excited to discover this place offering lighter meal options. We ordered the Caesar salad, the Captain’s salad with vinaigrette, and the pastrami and provolone sandwich on croissant and wheat bread. The fresh vegetable medley accompanying the sandwiches and salads was both refreshing and plentiful. We'll certainly be back for more. Since all meals are to-go, we enjoyed our food by the beach, and it was simply excellent, paired with friendly and courteous service. Thank you!

I paid $10 and waited 20 minutes for a small sandwich that wasn't much better than what you'd find at Subway.

They’ve been perfecting their craft since the 1970s, hidden away in a secret corner of a hotel, and are nothing short of sandwich legends. Their food is quick, fresh, and affordable—so much so that you might think they’ve traveled through time to bring back incredible deals. We brought their sandwiches to a family picnic, and it transformed the outing into a culinary celebration reminiscent of Woodstock. Forget the beachside eateries; Pai and his team are the real sandwich experts!
