Machete's Mean Sandwiches - Honolulu

I really enjoy dropping by Machete's for a quick meal. The bread is delightfully fresh and airy, perfectly paired with generously sliced meats and crunchy vegetables. The turkey ham is my favorite (though I don't add any jam!). The food is always fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and quick to get your order ready. Plus, they play great music through the speakers, though I do wish they would turn it up a little!

These are among the biggest and finest sandwiches on the island. I dare anyone to find a better one!

The pastrami here is fantastic! The staff are wonderful, and the service is outstanding. I can't wait to try everything on the menu!

Do your mouth a favor. If you are not so hungry now, you will get one for later!!

I pass this shop frequently since I now work in Waikiki. Today, (Saturday), I had an appointment in town, so I decided this was the day I was going to treat my taste buds to a new adventure. SO GLAD I STOPPED IN! Bread is substantial and delicious (I had the wheat); and I got the Italian and The Machete to take home and share. Both were really delicious; just the right balance of bread, meat, veg, cheese and dressings. I'll be back!
