The menu and atmosphere here is great. They have a huge patio that overlooks a lagoon with plenty of seating and shade. The menu selection is unique and endless. They have seasonal specials which were delicious.
Perfect spot! Food was good, but coffee was a bit disappointing. When picking up the Cappuccino, they told me that they steamed the milk extremely hot and apologized directly : There was no intention to make a new one, everybody is in a total rush
I have not been back in a few years and noticed they've expanded their seating area. It looks so beautiful!! The seating is all different which really stands out. The acai bowls is really why we come back here. It's a really nice spot to chill, have coffee, look at the beautiful water and mountains, read a book or even work.
It’s easy to see why this cafe was rated so highly, with a warm and cozy atmosphere, amazing patio space and super friendly staff. That being said, I was not impressed with the blueberry scone or banana bread and was very disappointed with the americano that I had ordered. I’m not sure what the exact problem was but it would seem that the barista was very inexperienced. The timing of the americano and London fog that I ordered was close to 5 minutes apart, there was no crema on my americano at all. The flavour was flat, nothing dark, bold, fruity, floral, nothing to note. Just black water. I know I’m not the typical coffee drinker and that I have a palate typical of the east coast coffee drinker but I don’t think my expectation of a decent cup of coffee is unrealistic. Go here for a bite to eat with a lovely view of a canal in a beautiful setting, but don’t expect a good cup of coffee.
