Golden Duck - Honolulu

The Health Department closed down Golden Duck Restaurant on South King Street due to violations discovered during a routine inspection on Wednesday.

The food at this longstanding restaurant in Honolulu is excellent and offered at a great price. It is a local favorite spot to order from with great value pricing. The dinner plate specials allow you to choose from 3 local favorites. The fried rice with char siu pork is particularly outstanding! Be sure to try it and enjoy! The meals are fantastic!

I highly recommend trying the Pork Water Crest at this restaurant. The vegetable was very crunchy and enjoyable to taste, although it could have had a slightly stronger flavor. I also enjoyed the Beef Broccoli dish.

The roast duck and cold ginger onion chicken are excellent, the duck is tender and moist, as well as the cold chicken. Also tried the won ton mien soup o o ono!!!

Three of us ate there today for lunch. We thought we would give it a try, based on good reviews. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all, in our opinion. The service was decent, but my daughter got Chicken and Vegetables Noodle dish, and she said her chicken was chewy and cold inside, as if it was under cooked. I cut a few pieces open and it did look somewhat raw. I am praying we don't get sick. ? we also had the Egg Blossom soup, which was ok, the Cream cheese crab puff (which looked curdled inside and also unappealing), and the beed/broccoli noodles, which my son barely touched. $70 for a meal we barely ate. We won't return.
