Fook Lam Seafood - Honolulu

The restaurant is clean and offers friendly, authentic seafood. Although the service was a bit shy and attentive, I appreciated that everyone was wearing masks. I noticed some differences in cultural norms regarding personal space; in the West, people seem to be more conscious of their surroundings, which might be due to less population density compared to the East. Nonetheless, we still had a great experience overall.

This used to be our favorite dim sum spot before 2020, during the pandemic. The food is still delicious, but the prices have definitely gone up. It's best to visit after 11:00 to avoid the reheated dim sum.

The service was prompt, and the textures of the dishes were incredible. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance, and they serve a wonderful jasmine tea. If you find yourself in Honolulu's Chinatown, this place is a must-visit!

Fook Lam. Early shown to avoid the dimming sum, showed our vax cards, service was attentive, trays and carts were often around. Tea tasted amazing. The atmosphere was not packed, but apparently steady pace and filled quickly. Some of my favorites are the look fun (shrimp and beef), chicken feet were deep in taste and spices, gelal still delicate and sticky. deep roasted mochi with meat is a MUST. (Hardly remarkable in pictures) and shrimpberry, yes everything was delicious! Most likely the soup dumplings were, maybe my taste was honest, but the broth did not work for me. It is always an experience to eat dim sum. I respect the aunts very much.

Quick and delicious with a great variety of dishes! We were sat right away at 9:30am on a Sunday and had a full table of food within about 1 minute of sitting. The XLB was some of the best I've ever had and all the usual suspects were fantastic! Definitely recommend.
