California Pizza - Honolulu

We arrived just before dinner and were seated promptly. The waiter attended to us within two minutes. We ordered some clean and refreshing water. I chose the Jamaican Jerk pizza, and my wife went with the classic cheese pizza. We also ordered both salads. The salads were fresh; I had the ranch dressing, which tasted just like typical ranch—nothing out of the ordinary. My wife opted for the vinaigrette, but she commented that it was overwhelmingly vinegary. On to the Jerk pizza— it was fantastic! I added some extra spreads since they use very little sauce on the thin crust, and I prefer my pizza saucier. Overall, the service and food were excellent.

The food was fantastic. We ordered the grilled chicken pizza, Chicken Piccata pasta, and a half pepperoni, half cheese pizza for the kids. Our server, who was named Christian, was excellent.

Because of the COVID they have only 50% available tables, so prepare to wait. We ate at the bar and it was nice. Cocktails were really good. Pizzas were okay. I wish there were more basil leaves on my pizza and more cheese. It was more like a breadstick than a pizza because of a small amount...

I absolutely love dining here with my dad! As someone with celiac disease, I appreciated that the server mentioned they have a separate area for gluten-free pizzas, which made me really happy! It was such a relief to enjoy a meal without worrying about getting sick. While the service wasn't the best, the food was fantastic!
