The Yarcombe Community Inn - Honiton

Now called yarcombe inn I believe. that is a fabulous country community pub. run by volunteers, except the chef I think is full time.

I visited this restaurant on April 30th after a recommendation. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the food when it arrived. Despite specifying no blue cheese sauce on the chicken burgers, they both came out with it on. We sent them back, and while four of us continued eating, two people had to wait. When the burgers came back out, one of them was undercooked (with pink chicken). We informed the server, who took it back to the kitchen. This put the other person off their meal. We were then ignored, so we decided to pay the bill. We were initially expected to pay for the two unacceptable meals, but the boss came out and disputed that the chicken was undercooked. Eventually, they removed the cost of two meals and two drinks. They also gave us two 20% discount vouchers. First impressions are important, and unfortunately, we will not be returning. My sister-in-law is still experiencing stomach issues from the food.

Had a lovely lunch time dinner today at the Yarcombe Inn, first visit after re-opening, very welcoming and friendly reception greets you at the bar, with a lovelycosy family feel to the place with all the characteristics of an old Inn. The food is realPub good grub with plenty of choice and the bar is well stocked. We had steak and chips with all the trimmings, and I had sausage and Mash etc which was very good.Booked in for a curry night next week, Ashley, chef/owner has a great outlook to his menu which is changing again next month, to reflect the seasons.Very happy to recommend it as a great stop forLunch or evening meals, great value for money and will recommend to family and friends, if you’re in the area, worth a visit, enjoy the experience of the Yarcombe Inn.

Took my mum and her partner for Sunday lunch. I had read a couple of positive reviews so decided to give it a go and wasn't disappointed food was very good and portions were good. Happy to recommend the Yarcombe Inn.

Fantastic welcome and great service, food was amazing and reasonably priced, will be my go to place for good honest pub food.
