Was just wandering around the PMQ, and came across this recent (to me at least) opened gem. It’s a sake bar, selling and serving sakes from all over japan. Apparently they have a special omakase dinner which is fully booked for months ahead, which is disappointing for any food lover, but luckily we were able to enjoy some sake and some delightful snacks at their bar. The staff were eager and knowledgeable about their wines, and helped us picked out the perfect bottle of sake to our desire. The bar food was great also, especially the uni toast. Not only is this place beautifully decorated, it also has such a nice chill japanese vibe. They will be hosting a Japanese pottery exhibition to promote the art of Japanese sake related. It’s a good chance to learn more about the wines and the culture. I’d love to come here every night for happy hour.
A very chic setup! Hidden in a corner of PMQ. There is a wide range of sake available including sake on tap! Interesting sweet taste with a slight bubbly texture. Worth giving it a try. The food menu is of solid variety and tasty! The off menu sandos are a must (usually pork but the other day they had an oyster option)! My gf approves She smashed a whole one herself! The tempura is a must order along with the XO squid. I have been twice and Billy is charming (but not too much if you know what I mean) and very knowledgeable when it comes to sake. I enjoy learning a little about the brewing process or how one sake makes it different from the other! Will definitely be back. The only complaint I have if I had to be picky, is that the bar stools have no backing at all so the poor back can get a little sore after a while. Some bag hooks or hooks on the wall could come in handy too! Check it out!!
One of the best dining experiences in HK for me. We tasted 10 types of sake, and ordered food off of the a la carte menu. They had a pop up tempura chef in, which we really enjoyed. Was a very casual vibe. The staff offered a fairly extensive knowledge of sake and were happy to teach us what we needed to know. I very much recommend it! Next time I will try the tasting menu.
Delicious sale selections, the staff has good knowledge of sakes and the recommendations were on point.
