The skin is pan fried to perfection. However, I’d like it even more if there were some shrooms/veggies/proteins inside. The pani puri was also great, with the same potato filling — and it comes with a cold spicy water that surprised me a lot. You’re supposed to squeeze the water in right before you eat it, and when the crisp shell collapses, your entire mouth is splashed with the refreshing cold liquid. My first time trying this dish! All in all, a cute hole in the wall offering unique Nepalese street food.
I absolutely adore their new zucchini and tofu momo. They are incredibly juicy and delicious. I just discovered that they offer a vegetarian-friendly menu. I can't wait to try their other vegan momo and salads in the future.
While exploring Kennedy Town with friends, one of them mentioned a new Nepalese dumpling spot nearby that seemed to be quite delicious. Upon further investigation, we discovered that they offer vegan options - score! We immediately decided to give it a try. We ordered the Veg Potato MoMo dumplings, which were priced at $30 for 5 pieces or $45 for 8 pieces. All their dumplings can be cooked in two different ways.
The momos at this restaurant are perfectly shaped and pair wonderfully with the peanut sauce. They are filled with potatoes, making even a small portion of 5 pieces satisfying. The skin is perfectly pan-roasted. However, I would have liked to see some additional ingredients like mushrooms or protein inside. The spa puri was also delicious, filled with the same potato filling, and served with a surprising cold, spicy water on the side. Diners are instructed to press the water pouch before consuming, and when the crispy dish is bitten into, the refreshing liquid sprays their mouth. This was my first time trying this unique dish! Overall, this small hidden gem offers authentic Nepalese street food.
