I want to summarize the experience in three points. 1) There was an honest mistake made when my pregnant partner and I ordered two mocktails with the request of no alcohol. Instead, we were served strong cocktails that likely contained alcohol. Mistakes happen, but it's not the end of the world. 2) The waitress seemed to lie about it when she took away the cocktail I ordered and brought a different one, claiming it was the same. It was clear she knew it contained alcohol. 3) To make up for the mistake, they offered us water, which seemed insulting considering the situation. We left without touching our drinks and won't be returning, which is a shame because we used to enjoy the restaurant.
This restaurant is a lovely and spacious place that is perfect for any occasion, whether it be a regular meal or just drinks. They serve Indonesian cuisine. I highly recommend the tempeh tofu appetizer with a flavorful spicy sauce. The gado gado can be made vegan by omitting the boiled egg, and it is also delicious. The vegetable curry made with jackfruit, green beans, tofu, and aubergines is a must-try. The vegetarian brunch menu can be customized for vegans for an affordable price. The a la carte menu is diverse and reasonably priced. The cocktails are extensive and well-made. My friends who are not vegan enjoyed the brunch menu with free-flowing drinks. The staff were attentive and provided great service. I was initially given the omni brunch menu despite specifying my dietary restrictions, but after asking, they promptly provided me with the vegetarian menu. Overall, I agree with previous reviewers that the food is consistent with the non-vegan options, though there could be more vegetarian starters.
I booked a brunch with my partner at this restaurant specifically because they offered a complete vegan brunch menu. However, despite my vegan dietary preference, it took 10 minutes for the waitress to bring me the vegan menu after I requested it. The vegan menu had limited choices, with many dishes being the same as the regular menu but without the expensive meat or seafood. Surprisingly, both menus cost the same amount. The dishes were presented nicely and were well-paired, although I couldn't see what my partner was eating as our courses were served separately. The overall quality of the food was good, with the tempura and spring rolls standing out. However, I was given the wrong appetizers and the dessert was missing grilled bananas, which was a key element of the dish. The service was extremely slow and it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. By the end of the meal we were full, but we didn't feel that it was worth the price.
