Contribuiți la feedbackI am new in chicago and also new for all delicacies here and when I tell them I was blown away from the food here, they believe it! this place I am a believer! I would never imagine that an Italian bark tastes better than the philly cheese steak, but here you know what they do?! They even have my picky food 10 years old to eat it and they call it the soggy sandwich but little knew it that with this juice, that makes that Italian bark so delicious! wow! I am a believer, now chicago has the best eating hands over the nation and I was already many other places that I can't wait to get back to this delicious Chicago stack!?????????
Even though I love Portillo's so much, I would probably go elsewhere rather than go to this location of Portillo's. I've been to this spot a lot of times, and honestly, I did not really have a problem. Not until recently, when the customer service generally was very poor. The line is long in the drive through while the order inside takes a really long time. Their service should definitely improve. The employees are nice, although there are some that are rude. I wanted to have their food, but I would always get poor customer service and it would take me like half an hour before I could really get the food, which is really disappointing. Their food is delicious, no doubt, but with this kind of service, I would rather go to some small fast food restaurant where I could get good food in a hurry. There was also this particular day that the drive-thru did not have a long line, and I was confident that it would be a good one and I would order easily, but it was not. Customer numbers are not the problem in this restaurant. The problem is their service generally.
I haven't been to Portillo's in a while and was excited for the fries again. Needed something quick, so I ordered a couple hotdogs. I couldn't find anywhere in the app to specify I wanted char dogs, that's when they put them on the grill to make them crispy. They are way better that way in my opinion. There was no place in the app when you order to add notes either. Needless to say my hotdogs came right out of the water and they weren't even hot when I got them. The buns didn't seem steamed either, so they kind of fell apart on me. The fries were excellent though. My other problem was, I ordered curbside pick up and no one ever replied to my text to acknowledge they would be out with my order. I had to go inside and ask for my order and they basically just made it when I came in. I think it would be easier next time, just to walk in and place my order from scratch. No point in ordering from the app if you can't specify exactly what you want and you still have to go inside anyway.
I love this place, but, having to wear a mask and not being able to sit down and eat without a vaccine is ridiculous. If you can go in to pick up your food, why couldn't you sit down and eat. Pretty ridiculous.
Took over 20 minutes at the drive thru with only 4 cars in front of me longest ever at a Portillos go to a different location as this one seems to be poorly managed. Coke tasted like it was all soda water and no coke syrup looked too clear and the chicken Caesar salad was a joke. Lettuce 1/3 of an egg, and chicken. Missing tomato and some egg at the least
