Felix's Cafe - Homestead

This might just be the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever tasted, and I've tried plenty! The staff is welcoming and friendly, making the experience even better. If you have the time, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal. Everything is reasonably priced too. It’s truly a hidden gem in the Homestead area. Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality!

We enjoyed a delicious American breakfast. Felix prepared a fantastic off-menu meal for us. The atmosphere was very authentic, with only local customers and just us tourists. The coffee and unsweetened iced tea were both flavorful, and the poached eggs, sandwiches, and toasts were excellent.

I also noticed a concerning hygiene issue. The cook was wearing gloves while preparing food, but after disconnecting his cell phone from the charger, he didn't change his gloves before returning to cook. I decided to call the owner about my experience, and he seemed to be a good businessman, as he offered to make me another sandwich. However, I politely declined the offer.

We stopped here on our drive through to the Keys and it was the best breakfast I have ever had. The hash browns were PERFECT. The eggs were delicious. The bacon was just the right amount of crunchy and thick. And the Cuban toast was so buttery in the middle. Anytime I make this drive in the future I will always stop by.

Food was great and amazing service! A huge fan of the bacon Cuban toast here. Definitely will come back.
