El Trovador - Homestead

Excellent Salvadoran food option in the homestead area. it's a very good example of a successful Salvadoran restaurant...you can enjoy not just one of the real juiciest traditional and famous papusas plates, but also the freshest traditional salvadoran food in the Homestead area and the excellent and very friendly costumer service and cozy modest ambiance; very nice personal; very fresh food, and very tasty recipes; place very well organized with a colorful central-american designs touch with a lot of variety salvoderan original plates that you can enjoy; meats and traditional soups are in the top of the menu, but also there is plenty of fresh veggies and other foods that you can enjoy and mix; great plates variety with great presentation; great drinks and beers variety...so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I read the review and came to try El Trovador. The wait staff states their manager does not allow any dog, not even my service dog. And do not want to call the manager. They were advised by another restaurant patron, in Spanish, that it is the law for the service dog be able to attend me. They refused. I left.I do not recommend this restaurant, they feel they are above the law.

The place stinks looks very dirty and the cooker had his fingers in his mouth ?? that was in and out

Best thing here is the food. Everything was delicious, tortillas home made, rice was amazingly good. Service is not their strong asset, but it was not bad either. Waitress could have been more attentive, but the food made up for her shortcomings. Parking is a little bit challenging as there are only about 8 parking spots. I would definitely go again soon.
