While we were waiting to be seated, we overheard an employee arguing with a customer at the bar, and things only got worse from there. I ordered the Barnyard pizza, and it truly belongs there—on a barn floor! The chicken looked and tasted like it was from a can, and the bacon bits were just tough, old pieces of bacon. It was so unappetizing that I could only manage to eat half of one slice before giving up. When the waitress asked how everything was, I honestly told her I didn’t like it. She offered to bring me something else, but I politely declined—I wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. And to top it off, I was charged full price for that disaster of a pizza! Oh, wait—I meant the Barnyard pizza.
The pizza varies from excellent to just okay, depending on the type and even the time of day or season. The non-pizza dinner options have been average, unless you go for the day's catch, which is usually better. You can see and hear the kitchen at work, which shows they're busy, but the service is the main reason I likely won't return, especially when there are other options available. We've visited a few times, and each experience involved a lot of waiting, which wasn't enjoyable.
I just enjoyed a pizza from Fat Olives, and it was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the dough was soft, chewy, and delicious. I really wish there was a location back home on the East Coast!
When it’s not too busy the food comes out perfect, but of course being one of the best restaurants in town. It can get really hard to keep up with demands especially when the your space is limited. But if you’re welling to wait for quality food be should let them know, the experience n food would be more than great it will be perfect. I recommend the hitman pizza!?
Get here early to beat the dinner rush for a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. We came here around 5 on a Sunday and had a 15 minute wait. We thoroughly enjoyed the AK sampler appetizer. The reindeer sausage and salmon dip where very flavorful on their own but the accompanying chutney complimented both. We then shared the Swine pizza and seafood pasta. The pizza was unexpectedly great as we usually don’t get pizzas with multiple meats and multiple veggies but the sausage and bacon went really well with the spinach especially. The linguini and white wine cream sauce of the seafood pasta made for almost like a side dish with the pizza as the scallops, fish, and shrimp weren’t too heavy service was friendly and quick. As we completed dinner around 6:15, there were at least 5-6 parties waiting for a table so be sure to plan ahead to avoid a long wait.
