Boatyard Cafe - Homer

Four of us enjoyed different meals, and each one was fantastic. The halibut fish and chips were among the best I've ever tasted—lightly breaded and wonderfully flaky. There's nothing pretentious about this place; it's located right in a boat yard. However, I would highly recommend it any day!

There is no table service here; you place your order at the counter and pick up your food. It can get quite busy, but the staff seems to be working diligently to keep up with the demand. Indoor seating is quite limited, but there's a lovely outdoor deck with extra seating. I had a burger with fries, which was excellent, and I look forward to trying more items from the menu in the future.

We stopped here for lunch. Hungarian goulash was pretty good. My wife had a Reuben sandwich and was disappointed one of the worst pastrami, very chewy.. .

The spicy halibut sandwich was outstanding! The restaurant is situated right in a real boat yard.

Fish and chips were delicious, they were out of soup and salad was average. They had some local beers and the burgers that came out looked good. It's in a working boat yard so can be interesting to see the boat movers work.
