Especially in the direction of Weil in the Schönbuch, the industrial area expands into unprecedented dimensions, calls on a variety of new companies to plan and creates the potential for an enormous need for gastronomic supply. Not all of this is of a worth mentioning Lutheran goodness; some can simply be negotiated with fast food. If you are approaching the newly opened restaurant veranda on Max-Eyth Street this spring, you will first come past several gastronomic “fast restaurants” and snack bars. Here fast hunger can be quickly and easily breastfeeded. I don't want to try most of this. But many employees of the surrounding companies will probably eat lunch or get a Vesper. Up to the back areas of the industrial area, only the knowledgeer actually manages. The Veranda was explicitly recommended to me, especially since I like to try international cuisine and the next Russian restaurant is probably 50km away. We are already on the subject: the “Veranda” sees itself as a “kitchen of the peoples of the former USSR”. The homepage promises: “Our food is not characterized primarily by exotic and unusual combinations, but by the taste and feeling of saturation.” That promises good, where I always have appetite and could eat all day. The location of the restaurant is truly spectacular for local terms: on the top floor of a new industrial building called “GeoPark”. An elevator takes us up comfortably – there is the well-maintained, modern ambience of an urban restaurant plus the wonderful rooftop terrace with a wide view of Schönbuch and (with good weather, the Swabian Alb. This is almost like a holiday on a summer day! The restaurant also provides a good setting for celebrations. We chose a table on the south-facing terrace around the noon, around 13 o'clock. Half a dozen guests ate in the restaurant. Otherwise, unfortunately, utter void. The service is lovely and almost subtly. Two ladies worries us with a must. Currently there is no fixed menu, but only changing lunch table – but this is versatile and very favorable. Two different dish dishes plus soup plus salad are offered per day. In addition, Pelmeni and Wareniki (a kind of russian muzzles and baked pike with side dishes. Many dishes are of Russian origin, our palate is not necessarily known and therefore in need of explanation. We chose two international dishes this Thursday: Cordon Bleu with pommes and green salad (6,00 euros and the zander with pommes and vegetables and green salad (9,00 euros). The piece of meat was extensive, well filled and satt panted, the frits unfortunately got a bit too salty. The unspectacular green salad was served on an extra dish. The Zander first surprised with a slightly crispy tanned cheese mat until I was aware that there was also Mayonnaise. More unnecessary... The vegetables (tube, cauliflower, broccoli etc. were also slightly tanned. As a bonus surprise we received a fruity summer dessert from red fruits and vanilla sauce. Simple, but delicious! The promised feeling of saturation lasted for a long time (if no more dinner was needed this day, however, after an hour came with bloating, feeling full and light nausea. For my taste, this kitchen is too rich and high-calorie. Both the interior and the dishes and the glasses are top, new, well maintained and top-class clean. Of course, this also applies to the toilets. Only shortage: in front of the house and in the surrounding streets all parking spaces are reserved for corporate members. It's really difficult to find a free place. But maybe most guests come to foot or even work in the same building?

It is unpaid to find a restaurant where you can absolutely everything: a variety of delicious food, attentive staff, excellent service, comfort and cozyness, hospitable host. the warmth and friendliness, dear and carelessness that the owners have put into the design of the restaurant are to be felt in every detail and give this place a special charm, perhaps this is the Russian soul, from which all speak on the world - hospitality, cordiality, generousness. a great advantage of this restaurant is a russian cook, now, who can better cook a real hering under a fur coat or cook a mess? Of course only those who grew up in Russia and have spent their whole life and know the Russian (and not only) kitchen from first hand. they can eat endlessly real handmade Siberian dumplings and do not notice how much they have eaten! very delicious! I write and sabber even from the memories) very tasty pilaw, homemade cakes, hering with swirling and tasty that the owners themselves salt! They can endlessly list the dishes that have fallen to them until they have tasted everything from the previously ordered really and until the last crumb was eaten. for those who love the Russian cuisine and are nostalgic, veranda is the best place to visit. also for those who are unfamiliar with the Russian cuisine and want to try out something new and unusual, it is better to start such a well-known with the best! the restaurant is quite large, here you can spend a great time with a big company, family, friends, as well as a high time or a jubilee (they have to remember for their next birthday), there is a place to dance, but also for a romantic dinner you will find a cozy place here thanks to competent zoning and room planning. there is a great veranda where they can look forward to sunny days to eat outdoors. convenient location with parking space. there is absolutely nothing to mock. thanks to the owners for such a wonderful idea to create a restaurant for the pearl of Russian cuisine, for delicious and healthy eating. we will definitely come back to them, and more than once!
