The Station Diner - Holyrood

We stopped in here for lunch. It is small, by the water and cozy. The staff was friendly. The food was great. I cannot remember what we had. but it was good. Worth stopping for lunch.

We stopped in for lunch while travelling the Conception Bay highway from Topsail to Briggs. It was a busy place and doing a brisk take out business in addition to sit down service. Less than a dozen tables inside, but a nice deck facing the bay for sitting outside. The seafood chowder was the best I've had yet in Nfld...lots of shrimp, salmon and cod. The scallops were great and very reasonably priced. We saw a beautiful plate of thick delicious golden onion rings go by, but couldn't order them ourselves cuz at our age we would need a defibrillator.

Great little diner with good food, excellent service and reasonable prices . The scallops are to die for. We had to wait in line as the seating is limited, but worth the wait.

Dropped in on a rainy Saturday evening for a bite to eat. I heard good things about this place so we were passing by and decided to give it a try. There were only a handful of people there as it was a wet old day. The food was great. I had a turkey club that was delicious and my husband had the seafood chowder and it had a bit of everything in it, with a nice hot fresh roll. Prices are decent. Beautiful view of Conception Bay. They also have outdoor seating if the weather permits. Nice

This is a small-town, seasonal cafe. My husband and I have eaten there twice: last summer and last month. I had the fish tacos (which were not really taco-like, other than being in a soft tortilla), which were fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed the pea soup, which was the traditional Newfoundland style with carrot and turnip, and a nice dinner roll. No dumplings, though! My husband had fish and chips (good) and something called a "cod club", which was a piece of fried cod in a hamburger bun, with lettuce and bacon. It was reasonably good, but the name was a bit confusing. The desserts are excellent. This time we had the caramel cheesecake, which was fluffy, delicious, and not overly cloying.The menu is small enough to be achievable in a small place, and there is a pleasant view of the bay. The tables are a bit cramped.
