Visiting the lighthouse is a must, but be aware that it involves descending over 400 steps, and the climb back up can be quite challenging—oh, the joy of it! There's a nice café nearby, and just 50 yards away, you can find a viewing tower for birdwatching. Overall, it’s a wonderful day!
Although the lighthouse was closed, the 375 unusual steps down to the bridge were well worth it. The experience was incredible. It felt wonderfully serene to sit and watch the tranquil sea and the sunset. There's a café nearby to recharge. Holyhead is definitely a place to visit!
Excellent location with amazing facilities, including a shop, café, and restrooms. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There is an observation point with a stunning view of the cliffs, complete with free telescopes and binoculars available for use. I even spotted a beautiful peregrine falcon!
I took the long walk from holyhead to south stack and that was a deserved stop for a beautiful cup coffee and something sweet. beautiful view around, many benches to generally rest, this is a nice place to eat and relax after a long trip. this facility offers interior and exterior seats, a coffee shop, a gift shop, toilets and parking. there is also a bird tower close to, but it has been closed from some ground and do not forget that they can also visit hut circles a beautiful antique denkmäler website, which is about 5 minutes walk from here. all in all a good experience.
Lovely place to come on a sunny day. Stunning views. Cafe at site serving drinks and sandwiches. With option to pay a small fee to walk the steps and bridge to the island.
