My friend and I dined there tonight to try the festive menu, and we truly enjoyed the experience. The ricotta and butternut squash starter was excellent, and everyone raved about the hanging kebab. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and although I could only manage a spoonful of the mince pie Eton mess, it was simply delightful. Thank you for a wonderful evening; we will definitely be back! I recently had a Christmas family gathering at this restaurant, and I must say, the staff were incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, even with some guests arriving late. Everyone was friendly and genuinely attentive, especially when it came to gluten-free requests, which was really reassuring. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were excellent as well. This is a fantastic restaurant to dine at. The hanging kebabs are excellent, and the service is friendly. I highly recommend trying the double fried chips—they come in a generous portion. For vegetarians, there are great options like the Paneer veg hanging kebab and the Bhaji burger. I enjoyed a dinner here, and the price per person ranges from £10 to £20.

DON 'T BOTHER WITH THE TAKE OUT SERVICE Let me share my experience of Harveys so Sunday i went to the one on Penistone Rd, not the normal seated etiquette of seating people, taking the drinks order and when coming back with the drinks then asking for the food order, no we were seated for 20 mins still no drinks order was taken, wasn 't busy either. There was someone cleaning a table though, clearly more important than serving customer. Then to todays experience Holmfirth placed an order for take out 12;45 for collection 13:15. rock up at 13:25 only to be told that you haven 't confirmed my order!! What but I placed it nearly 45mins ago!! Stormed off because I was Hangry to only ring up and be told it was due to human error because someone hadn 't shown the Sous Chef 'the system ' The universe is clearly telling me to stay away from your establishments!!!

Found this place by accident was supposed to go somewhere else. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant staff.We came for lunch and I would recommend the chunky chips and French Burger.
