La Catrina Mexican Grill - Hollister

As always La Catrina has done a fantastic job. We hadn't been there in quite awhile and decided to DoorDash dinner. We ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas and Enchiladas Suizas with flour tortillas. The meal appeared at our door step in less time than promised, the food was nice and hot and very good. This may sound odd to some but I am always amazed at how delicious their rice and beans are. I would definitely suggest La Catrina to anyone looking for good food.

The food was cold when it got here, the enchiladas verdes did not taste good had a different flavor to it. The Queso Fundido needed to be heated so that the cheese was melted, the camarones a la Diabla same thing flavor was off

Forgot half my order and when I paid $160 and they forgot to give the dasher they other bag they said it was not their fault so I'm out that food and money

It's so difficult to give this review. I had some of the best and worst food I've ever had. Let's start with the good, the flan was lovely, it was soft and luscious and delicious and the plating was beautiful. Served with a beautiful flower and fruit. One of the prettiest and yummiest flans I've ever eaten, and the tortillas were I believe home made and good. Now, for the horrible, sigh. The meal itself was terrible, bland, no flavor and no spice. The beans were bland and lifeless, the rice was cooked to perfection, light, fluffy and bland, colorless. And the red sauce was the worst I've ever had. It actually separated, a clear watery substance, a clear oily substance and then a red blob off to the side. I'm not kidding, you can buy much better from a can sauce in Safeway. A little salt can go a long way for them. But the sausage is a complete so over. The Chili part of the meal was blah, no flavor. Cooked tender and could cut with a fork but just no flavor, it had a huge slab of cheese inside that was a block, not melt and yummy gooey as it should be, just a block of cheese inside a pepper. Like they made them the night before and just threw the sauce in and lightly warmed it up. Obviously won't go back except for maybe the flan.

The burrito is really delicious!
