Have I stepped back into 1965? Until recently, I often questioned why anyone would choose to live in Hollister. However, I’ve found an amazing doctor here, and I really enjoy Nob Hill, even though it’s a bit on the expensive side. Maybe in another ten years, I’ll uncover even more things to appreciate about this town.

The location is fantastic—clean and featuring a wide variety of shops. On Wednesdays, the Hollister farmers market takes place, offering an excellent selection of fruits and vegetables. You'll also discover dozens of food booths in the area.

However, I've discovered an amazing doctor here, Dr. Friedman, and I genuinely enjoy Nob Hill, even if it's a bit on the expensive side. Who knows, maybe in another 10 years, I'll uncover even more reasons to appreciate this town.

We love to go to the farmer's market every Wed. From mid May to mid or late September. We love being able to walk through the Main Street of downtown Hollister. We recommend Hummus Heaven. For $20 you can buy four products. They offer a large variety of hummus flavors, lemon or garlic pita chips, flat bread, coucous, dolmas. Most products can be refrigerated for up to three weeks. Food vendors are located together near Fourth street. Large stuffed baked potatoes are a good deal. Mexican, Indian, and Middle Eastern food are terrific and yummy. Fruits and vegetable vendors are on the other side of Fifth Street. Great prices for fresh local and Central Valley produce. Much is organically grown.
