Contribuiți la feedbackHm...I don't know what is going on here, but the server that took care of me veered between passive aggressive to aggressive in her mannerisms, I wonder if she is running the business and is burnt out. I don't know what her experience is. I've worked with a lot of people who have behaved this way and have suffered the consequences. It's an unsettling experience to say the least. I tipped for her very attentive service and I hope she is well by now. The food was okay. The other staff seemed very pleasant.
Bento Box was horrible. Leathery strips of ? Beef and rubbery chicken.
I don’t know what it is with these Japanese restaurants in Hollister. This is the second one I’ve gone to that does not use an umami or dashi base. I suppose this is better than the other restaurant in town, which gave me hot water. (Bleh! I ordered the chicken udon, and all I got was hot water with soy sauce and mirin. Though I got a lot of chicken and a lot of noodles, I had just a few pieces of vegetables. In other words, this isn’t what you would typically expect from a Japanese restaurant. You expect a lot more, with far better quality. For the $15 they charge, that’s rather pricey. I’ve ate at other Japanese places in in the Silicon Valley where you get much more food (and better food for the same price. I guess that’s what happens when you don’t want to drive an hour out of town to San Jose. You get what hand you’re dealt and just have to play the best you can. Update: I have responded to the owner and emailed them on Feb. 25, 2024. To date, they have not responded to my email with their offer to make things right. They can't miss my review or say they don't know who I am, because I have included it in my email. Take these owner responses with a grain of salt. It's damage control on their end, often with no real attempts to do right for the customer. They just want others reading the reviews to think the business is accommodating when inaction on their part to follow through in these kinds of situations translates to downright lies.
We came here for lunch during the lunch rush and we were very pleased! Our food took a little long, but we had that understanding going into it knowing we were in the middle of a large amount of take out orders. That being said, our server was still on point and made sure we were taken care of! The fish was very fresh and the rolls were delicious! We ordered the Poke Nachos, Tres Pinos and Rainbow rolls. The miso soup hit perfectly on this cold Hollister day. We are looking forward to our next visit!
First off the service was the worst. Sat our family as they just told us find a seat in the back. Had to then get up and ask for a menu, my child ordered the nuggets and fries. Like how can you mess that up. They brought out Fry's tastes like the were in microwave. The server brought our plates for the adults however never came back. I had to get up for refills, I had to get up and ask for forks, had to get up again to as for the bill which never came so paid up at the front. I don't know how they have so many good reviews but I highly believe they are fake. We won't be back
