Taqueria Azteca - Holland

Tasty authentic Mexican food. Thursday, they have fresh caldo, aka soup. My favorite families favorite. Highly recommended if you are in Holland.

First visit was good and will go back to try more as I only had two tacos and chips. Had the carnita and asada tacos. Both were very hot off the grill and tasted great, I really liked how the tortillas tasted right of the grill. I also like that you can see where they cook the food. The red sauce for the chips had a kick and the green sauce not so much and not much flavor. Excited to try it again! There’s a Hispanic market attached to it which I didn’t check out.

Food was good. I asked the waitress for a recommendation, was feeling a torta, and I had asked about one in the menu and she steered me to the Cubano Torta. It wasn't what I was picturing, and thinking it was going to be, but I was happily surprised. This was probably one of the biggest sandwiches I had ever eaten, could've would've should've shared this sandwich, but I have eaten since dinner the night before, and didn't eat until dinner the next day after it. It included, ham, cheese, hot dog, yes hot dog, and it worked, fried pork, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and not sure what else, but if you have a big appetite, and looking for something to fill it, look no further. My friend got 3 tacos, said 2 of the 3 were good the asada wasn't great, not bad, just not great. Chips and salsa a plus, salsa was fire..

We have eaten here many times. I attempt to have something different every time. I think my favourite has been Steak Taco with cilantro and onion.

You know, it seems like I give a lot of 5 starts, but if there is nothing to say bad about this place, why not. I went in to dine, and the place was packed with only to waitresses doing their very best to serve everyone. And doing a fine job of it
