The Kings Suite Restaurant at The Kingscliff Hotel

I recently ate at this restaurant with a small group for the festive menu. The food was excellent, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. I would rate the food, service, and ambiance a perfect 5 out of 5.

The restaurant is understaffed and quite slow, but the staff are all very lovely. The service is rated a 3 out of 5, with a meal type of lunch and a price range of £30-£40 per person. The food is rated a 5 out of 5 and the atmosphere a 5 out of 5.

Kings Cliff is a nice spot to grab a quick drink on a Sunday. I recently visited the restaurant with my family and ordered three roast dinners. The food came out quickly, but I was disappointed to find that one of the roasts looked much smaller than the others and had no gravy. Later on, when three locals sat near us and ordered the same dish, their portions looked much larger and more appetizing. It seems like there is a consistency issue with the portion sizes at this restaurant. We all pay the same price, so the portions should be equal. We all enjoy a good roast dinner, but please ensure that all dishes are the same size. Eating out is not cheap for some people, so it's important to get this issue resolved. Been twice for the month of October as they've had a special 2 courses for £15.00. First visit was much better than the second. First visit had calves liver and bacon. Then a cheesecake with mango sorbet. Second visit had the burger and chips followed by cheesecake and vanilla ice cream. My mum had the cod and chips. The chips were very overcooked that came with the cod. The burger was very salty, I'm not sure if it was the cheese or the streaky bacon. No one checks if your food is OK. I wouldn't pay the full menu price for food here, just glad it was on offer, and for that reason it was OK. Needs more staff as the poor waitress was rushed off her feet.
