Thai Orchid - Holladay

Not good noodle dishes. Our friends got the curries and those seemed better. Slow service

The food was excellent. The restaurant was tidy and well-maintained. Our dishes arrived hot and were authentically Thai. The coconut soup is my favorite. We also enjoyed the basil chicken, which was both flavorful and tender.

I'm sorry to say that I have to give this restaurant a one-star review. While the man who took our order was friendly and pleasant, the food was disappointing at best. I ordered drunken noodles, which they call Guay Tiew Pad Kee Mao. I've enjoyed this dish for a long time and typically order Pad Kee Mao without issue. Unfortunately, my drunken noodles, which I requested with medium spice, were extremely bland, dry, and lacked any heat. Additionally, they were missing the Thai basil, tomatoes, green peppers, and any sauce whatsoever. I was really let down because I love drunken noodles! My wife ordered a dish whose name I can't recall, but it had no spice and no flavor at all. Thankfully, we had some Buffalo Wild Wings Asian Zing sauce at home to help us get through that bland meal. It's worth noting that this was a dine-in takeout order. We won’t be returning, and if you appreciate the rich flavors of Thai cuisine, I suggest looking elsewhere!

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. I love Thai cuisine, and when I asked for a spicy recommendation, I was suggested the green curry, which I usually don't choose. I really enjoyed the dish! Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary water bottle while I was dining. The atmosphere was friendly, and the food was delicious. Overall, I give it a 5/5 for the food!

The time estimation was accurate. The service was helpful. I appreciated the extra call to confirm details on my takeout order.
