Good place to visit with kids. Especially in summer

Good eclectic food: local Frankfurt cuisine, Italian antipasti and pasta, some Indian specials. Nestled in the forest at the intersection of hiking trails, Great views of Frankfurt cityscape in the distance make for a nice setting, and there's a meadow and play areas for kids and families beyond the outdoors seating area. Great destination for weekend outing. Plenty of parking.

Have driven past this place so many times and wanted to stop. Finally did it! Plenty of seats so didn’t look like reservations were necessary unless some special event is happening of course . Plenty of shade and parking. You can also walk through the trails if you live close enough. Will be bringing my toddler back to play on playground while we can relax and enjoy the view! They also had a dog park in front that was fenced in not much shade so maybe not in the heat of summer . I ordered from what looked like a seasonal menu that had quite a bit of spargel on it . I had the salmon carpaccio dish with spargel and it was delicious, as was the bread that came before. I tried ordering the panna cotta dessert but think there was a language misunderstanding so just paid the check and left. Will try dessert next time as I’m already looking forward to another trip here!
