Very well eaten. in October they have a wild card. the chef has earned a lob and the hygienic concept with covid 19 also works perfectly. we look forward to dinner in november.

Yes, there are also rewarding destinations for culinary delicacies in the plate country, and the inn Driehorst in Godelheim, a district of our county capital Höxter, is one. After nine weeks of hospital stay, a friend wanted to go here because there is a first-class asparagus, she says from her own experience. For me it should be the first visit to this house. After a 40-minute drive through many landscapes we found a parking lot right in front of the house. A number of stages lead to the entrance of the restaurant in a well maintained, semi-concrete house, which also offers guest rooms. Since 1878 this inn is now in the fourth generation in the family room There are several guest rooms that are evenly decorated and a beautifully designed winter garden that is often used for celebrations. It's too cool for the beer garden. We were very kindly received and guided at our reserved table. The rooms are bright and friendly, the tables are covered with white fabric tablecloths, cutlery, fabric napkins, water glasses, a small wind light and a small salt and pepper mill. The rooms are very well occupied, the service and the kitchen have a lot to do. We get the menus ready and order a Hugo (3.80 € ), which is also served quickly, nicely cooled and splashy with small mint stem. Refreshing Hugo The offers of the map have their focus on regional dishes, especially during the asparagus period. The asparagus comes from the neighboring farm, from the Godelheimer fields, freshly harvested daily, fresher never goes! And during the asparagus season there are various offers here: asparagus pampering evenings with 4-course menu, Wednesday's asparagus rich buffets (spoil, so much you can create, with the classic supplements, so much you can for 22,50 € and of course the normal asparagus shares with the different meat, ham and fish inlays, with salt potatoes, decomposing butter. To drink it can only be mineral water today. I choose for asparagus with grilled shrimps and herbal pesto (18,90 €), my friend for asparagus with Schnitzel Wiener Kunst (15,90 €). At the nice service lady I ask how many shrimps are on the plate. And the shrimps? Right! relatively large shrimps, without head and bowl, perfectly grated, very sharp grilled, solid meat, but delicate, a pleasure! Only under the herbal plague I imagined something else, it is more a quark with herbs and a little too salty. I just need the potatoes to remove the remaining delicious sauce from the dish.
